A central gas system is a setting
up for internal sharing of gas from
a cylinder, bundle or tank to the point of use. Gases are
usually stored compressed or liquefied
in suitable cylinders. It is always important to use the right equipment for moving
the gases from their containers in order to make sure safety and preserve the excellence
of the gases. The purpose of Central gas supply systems (CGS) is used
for large amount gas delivery and on-site gas storing in cylinders, multi-cylinder bundles, cryogenic
vessels with extraordinary containers. Gas distribution is provided by
pipe line from the central point up to the final application place.
The basic components CGS of system are:

Gas supply from either
manifolds or tanks.
·
Safety equipment.
·
Tapping point.
Gas
manifold or tanks: a tank for storage of natural or manufactured gas or the fuel tank supplying a gasoline engine. A
cryogenic tank is used
for large and stable consumption. The volume of the tank is selected according to its real gas consumption. The manifold
consists of all needed apparatus to fix the cylinder and supplying the cylinder with a given stream and
pressure.
Safety equipment:

Flashback arrestors – A flashback
arrestor is a gas safety device used in oxy-fuel welding and cutting to stop the flame and reverse flow of gas into the equipment. It protects the
user and equipment from explosions.

Non-return valves - Non-return valves are used with
integration loops in heating and cooling systems to make certain proper process,
and with household water systems to prevent backflow. Examples are Clapper type non return valve and Spring type non return valve.

Safety relief valves- A pressure relief valve (PRV)
is a type of safety valve used to
control and limit the pressure in
a system. The pressure may create a process interruption
and, instrument failure then fire the system..

Liquid pipelines- natural gas liquids
(NGLs) like ethane, propane and butane, are
separated from the natural gas,
and contaminants like water, carbon dioxide and hydrogen sulfide are removed,

pipelines to oil refineries for further processing.

Pipelines : Pipelines also collect crude oil from many
rural areas to deliver to refineries and chemical plants to create all the
products that come from petroleum and petrochemicals manufacturing. Jet
fuel travels by pipeline to
every major airport. Cylinder pressure regulators are also used in pipeline systems as transport-
able source for maintenance purpose or
ultimate source supply. A supply boardis used in a central gas supply system in order to reduce the cylinder pressure to an
appointed secondary pressure. Steel and copper are the most common materials. PVC and polyethylene pipes are used for buried
in the ground near building. The iron pipes, yellow brass pipes and aluminum
pipes were used in various situations according their need.
Tapping Points: The points of gas consumption are
called tapping points. From the central gas tanks the gas is transported in a
distribution network to all points of
utilization. The tapping points are
installed according to the plan of the gas application. Standard gas tubes must be used from the tapping points.
Central
gas offer systems (CGS) are supported high volume gas
delivery and on-the-spot gas stocking in cylinders, multi-cylinder
packages (bundles), refrigerant vessels with vaporizers or in special
